Well, cook I am not.

Food Blogger… I am not.
But…
Once and awhile I come upon a recipe that I must try and I must blog.
My friend Jill was making this cake for a neighbor’s birthday.
5 Ingredients
Super Simple
Easy Chocolate Cake Recipe
and SUPER yummy
It can be made gluten free or regular. (that is HUGE!)
Anyone can make it. Even me. And everyone will LOVE it.
Jill said this cake has a few names… because it is such a loved cake at their work parties and get togethers.
…a few names I won’t mention because they are slightly inappropriate
So, she calls it “Better than Anything” cake
or Heath Bar Chocolate Cake
I call it “Super Easy and Must Have” Cake.
Want to know how to make it?
I’m serious this is GOOD cake.
My dad ate 3 pieces.
And he doesn’t really like cake.
Jeremy stole my last 3 bites.
Ok, I may have grudgingly handed over my final bites of cake.
(poor guy… the cake went so fast, he didn’t even get a full piece. And I didn’t get an actual picture of the finished cake!)
Yes. You must make, share, pin this cake.
Everyone will love you.
Here is the easy chocolate cake recipe:
Things you Need:
1 Bag Heath Bar English Toffee Bits
1 Jar Hot Fudge Topping
1 Tub Cool Whip
1 Can Sweetened Condensed Milk
1 Box of Gluten Free OR Regular Chocolate Cake Mix
Baking Directions:
Make the cake according to the box instructions. As soon as the cake comes out of the oven, take a straw or chop stick or any other small kitchen tool to poke small holes all over the cake. Pour the heated hot fudge over the cake. Pour the sweetened condensed milk over the cake. Pour half the bag of heath bar bits over the cake. Let COMPLETELY COOL. When the cake is cool, smooth cool whip over the cake. Pour the other half of the heath bits onto the cake. Serve. With coffee.
Sound good?
YES!!!
Easy, fun, delicious and perfect for your holiday parties this year!
Bring something new and wow everyone with your amazing cooking skills.
This easy chocolate cake recipe is that good.
I think I’ll go make another one. right now.
I have had this before at a scrapbooking retreat and it was called “Better Than Scrapbooking Cake.” 🙂 I made this tonight – still waiting for it to cool – to celebrate great dentist appointments for the kids. This is probably a sure way to change those great teeth! lol! Thanks for sharing the recipe! And letting me know it is still good the GF way! 🙂
it is still VERY good the GF way!!
I make this cake. And in Paula Deen’s cookbook – it’s called one of those not so appropriate names. SO, my kids (who don’t know the real name) call it Better than Anything cake, too. That name has stuck at our house.
I also change it up a bit and use caramel sauce instead of hot fudge sauce. I also have never used the toffee bits, just regular Heath bars that I broke into little pieces. …..Lately, I’ve been thinking of trying butterfinger’s on top. I think that would be good, too. Especially with the hot fudge sauce. =)
oh butterfinger would be amazing on this!! good idea!
I love how you make it sound like I was horrible and stole your cake. Leaving out the fact that I never even received a piece of the cake and you were eating the last piece.
you stinker… no one thinks you are horrible… I’ll have to make you another cake 🙂
