Packing Experts

My camera was calling to me so I got it out while we were packing up the truck for our trip.

As a family, we know that it takes all of us working together to make it happen.

There is a lot to organize…

What is in each suitcase or rubbermaid determines where it gets placed in the truck.

What needs to come out first?

What can stay in the very back until we absolutely need it?

Everyone carries out a load, pulling suitcases and hauling backpacks.

Then the girls climb onto the truck, usually in cowgirl boots, to help Daddy organize things in the farthest corners of the truck bed.

Abby stands guard and tells her sisters where to put things.

Daddy stands guard over Abby.

The school back packs are ready and waiting for homeschooling on the go.

A suitcase packed with summer clothes and flip flops for when spring finally hits Ohio makes its way into the mix.

The bikes stand ready and waiting for their turn to be packed.

Mommy helps Daddy know what else has to fit in the back of the truck.

We must not forget the girls’ blankets and the swim bag.

And a laundry basket. Most necessary.

My 31 Bags make our packing look cute… very important.

And the girls get bored and wait in their seats while playing iPods. Daddy finishes with the bikes.

Our 5 bike rack totally rocks. As do our Schwinns.

I snapped a few pictures of our budding trees and bushes, knowing that when we come home the next time there will be green leaves on both.

Then, all packed up, we hit the road for our next church destination!

Lots of planning, thinking and organizing goes into every trip!

Missionaries are definitely packing experts!

What a process! Thanks for a little peak into your adventures. 🙂 It’s exciting to read about how God is moving your family to serve Him in such an awesome way.
