Life gets busy and crazy and sometimes making sure to humble yourself before God each day is not always at the top of our to do list.
Remembering to humble yourself before God each day can get put on the back burner of life.
I am sitting here with a pile of bills, mail and other things to go through.
Groceries need purchased, running club after school, laundry waiting to be washed.
But time to sit under God’s Hand?
I’ve been thinking about this because these two short verses jumped out at me recently.
I Peter 5:6-7 says, “Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”
Beautiful picture, right?
Humble yourself before God.
Tell Him that He is in control.
Give Him permission to work His way.
Remind yourself that He knows what is best eternally for you.
Stay in the “humble yourself” process.
The process of living under God’s mighty hand.
Living there is the best place to be. It is residing in his plan, his way, his life for you. Not trying to get out from under His hand but welcoming His mighty presence in every area of your life.
Because He will lift you up at the right time. He will complete His work in you.
He will fulfill His promises to you.
He will remain faithful to what He has in store for your life and God’s Word tells us time after time that He has a plan and it is good.
An important part of living under His mighty hand is to be able to cast aside all anxiety.
To be able to give it all to the One who can do something about it and trust that He is going to work for your benefit.
To humble yourself to His way, His plan, His purpose.
The bottom line is that He cares for us.
We can humble ourselves, live under His mighty hand, cast our anxiety on Him and rest in His care.
