For The Days You Need Help

Sometimes we just need help.

Some days are hard and we wonder where that help comes from.

Who is there when we need help?

What can we do when we need help?

Oh, we look in so many different areas for help… doctors, parents, friends, pastors, churches, programs… but, although those can be valid resources for us, God IS our help.

He is the only one who can deliver when we need help. He is our help in the truest sense of the word.

Great Bible Verses For The Days You Need Help and Encouragement

Help is defined as “to give or provide what is necessary to accomplish a task or satisfy a need; contribute strength or means to; render assistance to; cooperate effectively with; aid; assist, save, rescue”

God is the only one who can really, fully HELP us like that!

My firebible notes say, “We must never view family, friends or wealth as our ultimate source of help in this life. That position belongs to God. He is the only complete source for meeting our needs physically and spiritually. We must trust Him with all our hearts and depend on Him for mercy and help in our times of need.”

Bible Verses for when you Need Help

“There is none like God, O Jeshurun, who rides through the heavens to your help, through the skies in his majesty. The eternal God is your dwelling place, and underneath are the everlasting arms.” Deuteronomy 33:26-27a

“Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” Hebrews 4:16

“The LORD is with me; he is my helper. I will look in triumph on my enemies.” Psalm 118:7

“I was pushed hard, so that I was falling, but the Lord helped me.” Psalm 118:13

“In my distress I called to the LORD; I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears.” Psalm 18:6

“I love the LORD, for he heard my voice; he heard my cry for mercy. Because he turned his ear to me, I will call on him as long as I live.” Psalm 116:1-2

“O LORD my God, I called to you for help and you healed me.” Psalm 30:2

“We wait in hope for the LORD; he is our help and our shield.” Psalm 33:20

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:1

“Help us, O God our Savior, for the glory of your name; deliver us and forgive our sins for your name’s sake.” Psalm 79:9

“You who fear him, trust in the LORD— he is their help and shield.” Psalm 115:11

“I lift up my eyes to the hills— where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.” Psalm 121:1-2

“God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns.” Psalm 46:5

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10

“So you, by the help of your God, return, hold fast to love and justice, and wait continually for your God.” Hosea 12:6

“So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?” Hebrews 13:6

I love what your bible notes said about never looking to family to be our source of help. That has been something I’ve had to realize and ask for forgiveness on…..when my mom died, I started to fear so much because she was my security and I felt like how would I make it with out her. The Lord has been helping me to see that HE is my security and I have to trust HIM.
